An event that is saying people will regret not going. Thousands are expected to arrive on August 28, 2010, to see what Beck and other speakers have for them.
Recently Beck is coming where a major controversy.
First things first, 828: Restoration of Honor is a free event and takes place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. No entries. Beck has been mentioned repeatedly in your program like this is not an act of "political" and has told everyone to leave signs at home and "Come As You Are with his family."
There are a couple of reasons why some believe it is political. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin speaks at the rally. This has led many to believe that this is a 'rally teabagger' due to the number of speakers constitutional conservatives.
August 28 happens to be the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. 's famous "I have a dream." Al Sharpton, among others, are also having their own demonstrations and many people are making counter-demonstrations. Many question the motives of Beck for the concentration of media and heads many think Beck should have changed the date of the event because some feel they do not honor Martin Luther King.
What better way to honor Martin Luther King Jr. to have his own niece to speak at the rally? The controversy appears to be justified, but if you're Glenn Beck is his usual cup of coffee every day.
Beck noted that the event "will be an iconic event. This will be a moment that will never be able to paint people as enemies, racists, none of this. This is a moment, frankly, that I think make up the civil rights movement. has been so distorted and so backward. It is an abomination "
The rally will promote the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides services and grants to the families of soldiers who have died or are seriously injured. Beck shared invoking donations tear in your program, from 8 cents to thousands of dollars.
The speakers will be: SOWF, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Dr. Alveda King and Marcus Luttrell. Jo Dee Messina will also be presented.
Here's 828: Food description Glennbeck.com Honor, "Throughout American history has witnessed many great leaders and prominent citizens to change their course. It is through their personal virtues and by his example that we can to live as free people. On August 28, come celebrate America to honor our heroes, our heritage and our future.
Join the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and many more for this non-political event that is dedicated to servicing the U.S. and other honest citizens who embody the founding principles of our nation's integrity, truth and honor.
Our freedom is only possible if we are virtuous. It helps restore the values that founded this great nation. In August, 28 come join us in our commitment to restore the honor on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. "
Glenn Beck, like Sarah Palin, so polarizing arouses feelings among some people. The "left" hate with a passion because they are considered as "dangerous" and, above all, "oridnary" - if not stupid.
