Glenn Beck Rally Almost 100000 Attendance

Glenn Beck is a controversial figure, and his demonstration was held on the 47th anniversary of Martin Luther King "I have a dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial has earned a lot of criticism from the media. Beck has been criticized for trying to sell the rally as a kind of civil rights march in an attempt to exploit the anniversary, but the television presenter said the demonstration was more to show support for U.S. troops than any other thing.

Beck said the demonstration was apolitical, but the speakers touched on a series of political cartoons during his speeches. Beck said the U.S. Has "wandered around in the dark" for too long, and suggested that we return to a lifestyle that was conceived by our founding fathers.

Sarah Palin, who also attended the event and told the crowd that he felt that "we must restore America and restore its honor." Palin is expected to be preparing for a career in 2012 at the President's office, but made no formal announcement regarding his intentions.
Beck said in his speech that "today the United States turns to God," suggesting that the country is changing towards a more conservative viewpoint. A number of civil rights activists have spoken out about the meeting, including the Rev. Al Sharpton, who said he thought Beck was distorting views king to align with theirs. It will be interesting to see how it changes the concentration compared with U.S. policy in the coming months.

Glenn Beck restoring honor

Rachel and Ray Thompson, both 29, drove with their four kids from Indiana. Both are fans of Glenn Beck and criticized President Obama for fanning the divisions in this nation.
"There are a lot of divisive issues in this country that need to be addressed in the way Dr. King addressed them and [Obama] has failed to do that," Ray Thompson, an electrician, said. "From a multi-racial family, I say shame on him." (Ray is white; Rachel is African American.)

"He does have an awesome power to do something about it, but he is not. He is just sitting back," said Rachel, a massage therapist. Neither was troubled by the timing of the rally -- on the anniversary of King's "I Have a Dream" speech. They said the speech King's niece Alveda King gave was the most uplifting of the day.

Glenn Beck Rally Updates

The mark of American history taught by Glenn Beck Saturday in his manifestation to pass the exam in a mediocre middle school. And in terms of what I found on television, there were moments of great emotional resonance or perhaps hold until the end of bagpipes playing "Amazing Grace" and a closing prayer.

And yet, beyond the huge crowd that attended the event in Washington, something important and profound, even taking place in "Restoring Honor Beck" rally: The host of Fox News was trying to take over a mantle of moral authority work and ultimately paid with his life by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King. And unfortunately, I think that in the eyes of some viewers, Beck might have succeeded.

If it sounds absurd that a cable TV presenter who regularly breaks mercurial mourn and has asked the U.S. president a racist should be able to get what appeared to be over a hundred thousand Americans to hear and applaud as he applied to King's mantle, it is. In fact, one could even say it's outrageous.

And for all the warnings and wake-up calls "that Beck left the steps of the Lincoln Memorial Saturday, here's another: We have to think about the success of the play Saturday and asked Beck what he says about the lack of moral authority this country today. We also have to wonder what it says about us as a culture that so many Americans on a Saturday in August and more than two million a day on Fox News come to Beck and apparently listening in their own hodgepodge of primary school history and the hodgepodge of moral platitudes and bromides that are meaningless.

The moral authority - that is what the rally was really. That's what the bagpipes playing "Amazing Grace" at the end of the rally in question. That's what all the talk of standing on "holy ground" issue. That's what the repeated use of words like "honor," "integrity" and "trust" issue.

That is what the introduction of Beck Alveda King, niece of Dr. King, was when he said, "your family's past has been washed in the blood" with "his father and uncle both died" for what they believed. And that what all the rhetoric of the New Testament-like and the conclusion of the military who are wounded and killed in battle is approaching.

In fairness to Beck: What made especially to maintain the 3-hour and 15 minutes for being overtly political in terms of attacks.

I suppose that only the presence of Sarah Palin was an overtly political act. But she talked about the sacrifice military primarily as the "mother" of a soldier in "combat." As she said, "Whatever people say about me, but I raised a bet of combat - and you can not remove it."

In a superficial sense, how can an error of concentration that celebrates the military sacrifice and religion - although Christianity certainly the most orders and anything else? And Beck certainly seems to have gone out of their way to at least give the apprearance of diversity and inclusion in the training stage with speakers and singers - and won the Merit Award by faith, hope and charity were awarded.

I will not try to explain the Merit Badges - Beck invented something. It would take all day, and I'm not sure I could resolve the contradictions in the ontology crazed Beck of the award.

But again, in his words, it was an intense moment of confusion when he fell to his knees and asked the Lord "to explain his poor brain, confused what to do - and a response was provided. (Beck always stops just before saying the "Lord" actually spoke to him - at least it did on Saturday. Although the implication is that it is.)

Anyway, the "Lord" told him the answer somehow involved "faith, hope and charity", but had to resolve their own details - and so he came Merit Badges given to faith, hope and charity.

prizes (For some reason that George Washington gave out during the darkest days of the Revolutionary War were also involved in Beck's thought that led to these Merit Badges. But here is where the mish complies with the mass of matter was Beck saying on stage on Saturday and I'll leave it there, such as cable TV hosts are saying.)

However, three people received Merit Badges Saturday, including St. Loius Cardinals baseball player Albert Pujols. His was for hope, only the introduction of Tony LaRusso, the manager of the Cardinals do not really have much to say about hope - mostly just what Pujols guy was good.

But even if it sounds ridiculous, the insignia of Merit also had a profound aspect of them. Set among all the Medal of Honor winners and the Bronze Star and welcomes the scenario presented, new awards Beck acquired a reputation. And most importantly of all, it was Beck and his companions who were the grants - which were the moral authority to determine who should be given this great honor and treated as heroes. The more moral authority to Bec. And in the end, which is very political, because where there is no moral authority, not political power.

As I watched this specatcle Saturday, I wondered how recent American history has been the struggle for moral authority since the death of King and Robert Kennedy. Richard Nixon never had, and lost when Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon, and so on and so on with Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton and the election that many feel was stolen from the Florida recount call.

That's what was so powerful in November 2008 in Grant Park where Barack Obama took the stage on election night: Millions of Americans thought they were seeing someone who brought moral authority to the White House. I know I did.

Unfortunately, millions now feel Obama since losing the next morning with too many flip-flops on moral issues, entertainment, television appearances, and days on the golf course as the economy struggles.

We are much wiser, more focused and peaceful nation when we feel like we have someone who can look to the moral authority. Glenn Beck understands that, and that's what makes what happened Saturday in Washington to think long and hard punishment.

8 28 Rally To Restore Honor

Look left "plants" this Saturday at 8 / 28 "Rally to restore honor" at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. You will be able to identify the signs and current expressions of hatred that is thrown. Oh, and also be able to identify them, as it will be the only "participants" who are interviewed and shown on television by the liberal media outlet.

Aside from saying anything positive about the meeting, the leaders like Al Sharpton, along with most of the liberal media talking heads, is trying to portray the event as nothing more than a festival of hatred directed by Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.

It is also safe to say that you will not hear what Dr. King's niece, Dr. Alveta King, told the Christian Science Monitor about Rally 8 / 12: "Definition of ourselves as red states or blue, liberal or conservative , minority or majority, have not yet reached the day when men and women are "judged not by the color of their skin but the content of their character." We're still running to this day. As Uncle Martin said "We can not go back.

When Beck and I join all gathered at the Lincoln Memorial this weekend, I will talk about my Uncle Martin and the America he imagined. I will talk about honor and character and sacrifice. I'll do come to those who represent the diversity of the human race. "

It is unfortunate that leaders like Al Sharpton and most of the liberal media, believe they have the exclusive "rights" to how, when and where the dream of post-racial "Dr. King's imagined world, and eventually died actually becomes a reality.

Thousands of people marched through the broadcaster Conservative Glenn Beck, including Tea Party faithful began to fall Saturday in the same place where the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his famous "I have a dream" exactly 47 years ago .

multitudes who have been historically difficult to gauge at the National Mall, but organizers said they expected 100,000 or more people to show for the "Restoration of Honor" rally, controversial for its time and place.

Beck's rally is taking place in front of the Lincoln Memorial in the shadows and the echoes of the address more fundamental civil rights of United States history.

Some of those who marched with King said that Beck had usurped the day for his own political benefit. The Rev. Jesse Jackson told CNN he was imitating King Beck and "humiliate the tradition."

Other civil rights activists will gather near the Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network and the march to the place of the future of Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, a few blocks from Lincoln Memorial. It is possible participants in both events could cross.

Beck, a hero to many conservative voters around the country, said, however, that the rally is apolitical and its mission is to honor U.S. troops.

"I kind of feel like God dropped a giant sandbox in my head," he said in a speech Friday night, making a spiritual tone for the event on Saturday. "My role is to wake up in America until the retreat of the most important principles and values of God. We are a country of God."

Tea party activists across the country are expected to attend, and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, a contributor to Fox News, is scheduled to have a prominent speaking role.

"Tea Party Patriots, our national coordinators, van because our fans around the country by the thousands will be there tomorrow for this event," said Patriots tea National Party Coordinator Jenny Beth Martin CNN.

Beck had been heavily promoting the event in its program of Fox News Channel and radio transmissions. He said the timing of the event was not intentional.

"It was not my intention to select the candidates 8.28 to the Martin Luther King. It is the day he made that speech. I had no idea until they announced," Beck said on his radio show in June, shortly after the announcement of the event.

"Whites do not own Abraham Lincoln. Blacks do not own Martin Luther King. These are the icons of America, the ideas of America, and should only be talking about the character, and that's really what this event is all about. It is honoring character, "Beck said.

Also participating in the "Restoring Honor" rally will Alveda King, niece of the late civil rights leader. King said she has been accused of kidnapping "the dream", but "CNN's Anderson Cooper 360" on the night of Friday, said that "the dream" is in their genes.

"There has to recover the civil rights movement, I am part of the civil rights movement," she said, pointing to the house of his family and church were bombed his father when he was younger. While the NAACP made a prudent balance in relation to the demonstration, there have been plenty of criticism of the event.

Restoring Honor Glenn Beck Rally

"Glenn Beck Restoration of Honor" rally set for today (UPDATE). If you've been watching Glenn Beck in recent weeks, you know how much is urging Americans to travel to the Lincoln Memorial for the 828: Restoring Honor rally.

An event that is saying people will regret not going. Thousands are expected to arrive on August 28, 2010, to see what Beck and other speakers have for them.

Recently Beck is coming where a major controversy.

First things first, 828: Restoration of Honor is a free event and takes place on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. No entries. Beck has been mentioned repeatedly in your program like this is not an act of "political" and has told everyone to leave signs at home and "Come As You Are with his family."

There are a couple of reasons why some believe it is political. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin speaks at the rally. This has led many to believe that this is a 'rally teabagger' due to the number of speakers constitutional conservatives.

August 28 happens to be the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr. 's famous "I have a dream." Al Sharpton, among others, are also having their own demonstrations and many people are making counter-demonstrations. Many question the motives of Beck for the concentration of media and heads many think Beck should have changed the date of the event because some feel they do not honor Martin Luther King.

What better way to honor Martin Luther King Jr. to have his own niece to speak at the rally? The controversy appears to be justified, but if you're Glenn Beck is his usual cup of coffee every day.

Beck noted that the event "will be an iconic event. This will be a moment that will never be able to paint people as enemies, racists, none of this. This is a moment, frankly, that I think make up the civil rights movement. has been so distorted and so backward. It is an abomination "

The rally will promote the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, which provides services and grants to the families of soldiers who have died or are seriously injured. Beck shared invoking donations tear in your program, from 8 cents to thousands of dollars.

The speakers will be: SOWF, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Dr. Alveda King and Marcus Luttrell. Jo Dee Messina will also be presented.

Here's 828: Food description Glennbeck.com Honor, "Throughout American history has witnessed many great leaders and prominent citizens to change their course. It is through their personal virtues and by his example that we can to live as free people. On August 28, come celebrate America to honor our heroes, our heritage and our future.

Join the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and many more for this non-political event that is dedicated to servicing the U.S. and other honest citizens who embody the founding principles of our nation's integrity, truth and honor.

Our freedom is only possible if we are virtuous. It helps restore the values that founded this great nation. In August, 28 come join us in our commitment to restore the honor on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC. "

Glenn Beck, like Sarah Palin, so polarizing arouses feelings among some people. The "left" hate with a passion because they are considered as "dangerous" and, above all, "oridnary" - if not stupid.

Glenn Beck Rally Is Start Today

When you stand on today's news often depends on where you sit. In the case of "Restoring Honor Glenn Beck" rally on the Mall on Saturday, the three cable news networks have taken decidedly different paths cover the event.

Fox News, MSNBC and CNN all say they'll try Beck's rally in front of the Lincoln Memorial as any other newsworthy event. The three networks have assigned reporters and cameramen to monitor interventions to Beck, the former governor of Alaska Sarah Palin (R) and other dignitaries in what is being billed as a "non-political" rally. Beck has been criticized by the programming on the same date and at the same location as Martin Luther King "I have a dream", but said that time is accidental.

But in the days before the event, the three networks have seen the same story very differently. A major factor may be that Beck is a popular Fox News host and the star attraction of the rally, Palin becomes a Fox News contributor.

In the past month, CNN has mentioned the connection Beck Fox News and the rally only once from Friday night. On the eve of the demonstration on Friday night, CNN aired an interview of Al Sharpton by the host of talk show in which King John Beck criticized Sharpton for saying he is "restoring the civil rights movement." On the same day as an event of Beck, Sharpton has organized another meeting in Washington in honor of King.

MSNBC has made numerous references to Beck and Fox, though usually in a derogatory way. One host, Cenk Uygur, whereas the replacement of Ed Schultz, called the rally "ridiculous" and an ego trip "and Beck branded" a bad guy. "MSNBC host Keith Olbermann has been particularly aggressive, asking a guest on Thursday," Are we expecting to see part [Beck], the Reflecting Pool?

Fox News says it has no official connection with the demonstration, explaining that Beck has organized separately from his duties as host weekday. However, the tone of the network was much easier when it comes to the event. In addition to dozens of mentions of him in his own show, Beck has appeared on "Fox and Friends" morning network program, evening program and Bill O'Reilly to discuss it. "Fox and Friends" led viewers to Beck's Web site.

The organizers of the rally - the Beck-members 9-12 and the Arts Project Mercury radio - told the National Park Service in its request for permission to 300,000 people expected to attend. That figure would place it among the largest demonstrations in the history of the mall, though some have doubted that the rally will draw anything close to it.

None of the cable networks would say on Friday how long it will be dedicated to the Beck and Sharpton rallies, or how they describe Beck and Palin's affiliation with Fox

Fox News says he is not ahead of their scheduled two-hour block of business news programs on Saturday morning for coverage, although Michael Clemente, senior vice president of Fox News, photos, left open the possibility of giving some coverage to the demonstration Beck news brief "vacation" during the morning. Beck and Palin are scheduled to speak between 10 and noon.

"We are treating it as many events happening at the mall and attract a big crowd," he said, comparing it with the marches against abortion and the millions of men in March. He added: "It will be judged on the merits, so people say, how many people are there and why people react to what is said."

MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines said his network will have reporters doing live reports every hour from both concentrations during the morning.

He declined to say whether the use of Beck on Fox News would be mentioned. CNN spokeswoman Edie Emery said his network will focus both at rallies "like any other event we cover political news," but also declined to comment on how its reporters will refer to Beck and Fox

The "restore honor" rally is described by its organizers as a celebration of "our heroes, our heritage and our future" that "is dedicated to servicing the U.S. and other honest citizens who embody the founding principles of our nation integrity, truth and honor, "according to its website. The event will include a "Lincoln Memorial Re-dedication Ceremony."

Besides Beck and Palin, speakers include baseball superstar Albert Pujols and the St. Louis Cardinals, Tony La Russa.

When Beck announced the event last fall on Fox News and its syndicated radio program, promised to present "The Plan", a 100-year scheme designed to "save the country." But the focus of the event quickly changed, with Beck choose an event to raise money for a Tampa-based group called the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a philanthropic institution that helps the families of those killed or wounded special forces personnel.
