Nys unemployment Rates Updates


Let I tell you about today hot trend of Unemployment. monthly rate of New York State unemployment rate was in decline since February 2010. 3 months of the New York State the average unemployment rate in April, May and June at 8.3%.

This is already below 8.5% 3 Month Average unemployment rate, which is required by the federal government for showing 6 weeks of additional benefits for emergency unemployment benefits (UPC), Tier 4. U.S. Department of Labor informed us that, starting from 16 August, no new claims can be filed under Tier 4 benefits.


This will reduce the maximum number of available weeks of UI benefits from 99 weeks to 93 weeks. However, the bill states that the user interface is extended all the benefits of the end of Week 5 of December, which means that the majority of unemployed New Yorkers will not be able to reach a maximum even 93 weeks.
