A new tactic we've noticed recently a web site to create a rumor about a certain topic or article is trying to get a search term or phrase in the Google trends list of topics page. Infowars has sent a message to the readers to do a Google search of the phrase "The resentment towards the government," in an effort to get the words displayed on the Google Trends. They seem to have done just that. From Infowars site:

Infowars The article is trying to draw attention is one written by Joseph Watson, entitled "The authorities plan to drive phone calls and emails for signs of" resentment towards the government "." The article will discuss how the government is intruding more and more in the daily lives of Americans. It is a very well written article, and certainly brings up some valid points. Google Trends game however, can not be the most legitimate and moral way to bring attention to an article though.
