RB Chris Johnson said Thursday there is room for debate - said it is without doubt the best NFL running back.No matter what you say Adrian Peterson."I'm the best back in the league," Johnson said, through the Tennessean. "He is not."I do not think it is close. I feel like I'm above all the back running in the league. I feel I'm over it."
On Wednesday, Peterson, Minnesota Vikings Pro 'Bowler said he was better than Johnson, who rushed for an NFL-high 2006 yards last season. Peterson said he did not think Johnson could do no better than him.
"(He) is not faster, stronger, nothing," said Dan Patrick's program. "You have to understand that you're talking to ... that's the mentality I have."
Peterson Johnson refused comment Thursday.
"I feel like (Peterson) is a good turn, and every time you play is a player I like to see play and things like that," Johnson said. "But when it comes to competing against him as a player, I do not think there's one lap ahead of me."
