Rick Sanchez Left CNN

CNN announcer Rico Sanchez has been fired. The news comes a day after Sanchez appeared on the show Pete Dominick Sirius radio, where he called "The Daily Show" John Stewart, a "fan" (later changed the term "harm") and suggested that "Everybody who runs the CNN" was Jewish.
Today, CNN issued a statement saying that "Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and wish him well."
CNN did not disclose whether Sanchez's comments are a matter of letting go. But the radio interview was just the latest in a history of incendiary quotes of the speaker, who has gotten into trouble for calling Obama "president of Cotton Pickin '", a misquoting Rush Limbaugh, and not understand the metric system.
