Farm Aid live performances 2010


Sirius XM  will be broadcasting live Farm Aid 25 in the Miller Park in Milwaukee today, 2 October. The first concert of agricultural support is carried out in 1985 to raise awareness about the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land. To date, Farm Aid has raised more than $ 37 million to promote a system of strong and resilient family farm agriculture.
Farm Aid works with local, regional and national efforts to promote fair policies based on agriculture and organizing campaigns to defend and strengthen the family farm-centered agriculture. The nonprofit organization works closely with farmers to protect farms and to inform farmers and consumers on topics such as genetically modified foods and growth hormones.


Farm Aid 25 will feature live performances by Farm Aid president Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews, Tim Reynolds, Norah Jones, Jeff Tweedy, Jason Mraz, Randy Rogers Band, The BoDeans, Band of Horses, Amos Lee, Robert Francis, the Blackwood Brothers Quartet, and the promise of the Royal's son Lukas Nelson Willie Nelson. The concert will be hosted by Travis Smiley.
You can hear live Farm Aid 25 in Willie's Place Channel 13 XM and Sirius channel 64, from 14:00 on the east and running until midnight.
