Piers Morgan And Larry King


The British TV personality Piers Morgan will take over Larry King 21:00 Eastern time slot on CNN in January, the network said Wednesday, ending weeks of speculation.King had announced earlier this summer that would leave the "Larry King Live," which debuted in 1985. Morgan, best known in the U.S. as a judge on the NBC reality show "America's Got Talent", is the former editor in chief of the Daily Mirror of London and a popular presence on interview programs in the UK.
"Piers has made its name to pose tough questions to public figures, making them responsible for their words and deeds," said Jon Klein, president of CNN's domestic operation, according to a statement. "He is able to consider all aspects of the news with style and humor with an occasional good laugh in the process."
