Free Museum Day 2010

I would go to the State Fair of Texas today - and still can today if things clear up. But right now, it's raining cats, dogs, and three-toed sloths out of here in Arlington, where I am staying at my daughter, who has dish TV, which means, yes, I will not see television either because doesn t work in the rain.
So what to do? Suddenly I remember: The day of the Smithsonian Museum of the free magazine in the country. Choose a Smithsonian museum linked to smithsonianmag.com / museumday, print a ticket (it takes the form of tickets) and you and another person are free. Among the museums you can see for free today: Blanton in Austin and here, of Fort Worth Amon Carter, Modern and the Museum of Western Heritage. In Dallas, there's the Dallas Museum of Art and a lot of museums in Fair Park where it could, theoretically, lie in wait until the skies clear.
The only question is this: If we go to this flood, you have to turn-around-no-drown? Hm.
