Daryl Hannah Environmental Message

Hollywood star Daryl Hannah did not need a script on Monday to deliver its environmental message to the survivors of the Black Forest Fire Victoria Saturday.
The star of films such as Blade Runner, Kill Bill, Splash and Wall Street seemed a little nervous standing in front of an audience at the Kinglake Pub on Monday.

But the message sent on sustainable housing and use of local food products was well received.
Ana had just arrived from Cairns, where he had spent the last two weeks learning about permaculture - she also will attend a conference this week permaculture in Kinglake.
The actress, who spoke of the renewal of U.S. home eco-friendly materials, use solar energy and grows organic food farmer's markets.
She has turned his tractor and vehicle used in his farm to run on biofuel.
"I encourage you to take advantage of these options. You have the tools here," she said.
"These materials are not toxic to you or your water system and I recommend you take advantage of these things, and stay together as a community."
The Victorian Government has created a website that Rebuild Green, which offers information on sustainable building products, services and discounts to rebuild and modernize the homes and community facilities.
Hannah became active in the conservation front after the meeting noted environmentalist Charris Ford 15 years ago and was with her in Kinglake.
"It was one of my passions and was open to use her voice as a celebrity to help in the awareness of these things," Ford told AAP.
Since then, Hannah has been chained to trees, campaigning for the Sea Shepherd anti-whaling and has been arrested in West Virginia, while protesting against the strip mining of coal cutting.
