Allahabad High Court And BaBri Masjid


Sixty years after the first cut, the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has pronounced the verdict in the trial of Ayodhya title.
Senior lawyer and BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad emerged from the court today to say that the bench of three judges had ruled in a majority ruling 2:01, which leaves a third of the disputed land should be given to the Waqf Board Sunni, one third of the Akhar Nirmohi and a third party 'Ram Lalla. Prasad is one of the litigants.
Ravi Shankar Prasad claimed that the court had ruled that the place where they kept the idol of Ram was the birthplace of the deity and idols should not be removed. (See: Sunni Waqf Board suit dismissed, says the lawyer)
Prasad said the court had requested a status quo of three months and at that time the trial had to decide how to divide the party.
