Miss Universe 2010 Mexico:Jimena Navarrete

Jimena Navarrete of Mexico, 22, was crowned the winner of Miss Universe 2010 on Monday in the resort and casino Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Navarrete win was a big surprise, and considered a stunning victory by gamblers had expected this year Miss Universe winner could be either of Venezuela (Marelisa Gibson), Ireland (Rozanna Purcell), or the United States of America (Rima Fakih).


Miss Jamaica Yendi Phillipps, 24, was announced as the second and Navarrete was surprised to get the win. Miss Philippines did Venus Ramirez in the top five and said goodbye as the fourth finalist.

The 22-year-old Jimena Navarrete from Guadalajara, Mexico and said he plans to study nutritional science, but has been modeling since the age of 15 years. Jimena will spend her year as Miss Universe to help different charities and draw attention to the need for people with breast cancer and HIV / AIDS.



Along with the victory of Navarrete, will receive a full year of apparel, shoes and hair products from the line of Farouk Systems' Chi, and also a one-year scholarship to the New York Film Academy.
