Is Jon Stewart The definition of a fanatic? - Late last night it was announced that Rick Sanchez was fired from CNN "Rick List," after making comments about Jon Stewart and the Jews in his appearance on the radio show Pete Dominick's.
Rick, who also criticized Stephen Colbert and Keith Olbermann, said during the interview:
"I think to some extent, Jon Stewart and [Stephen] Colbert are in the same way. I think Jon Stewart is a fanatic."
The comment prompted millions of people who heard the news in the search for the definition of the word fanatic.A fanatic is a person who is intolerant religious views, racial, political or other group.

On Thursday, Sanchez called Jon Stewart on Comedy Central "fanatic" and suggested that Jews run CNN and "all other" networks. He was speaking on the satellite radio show "Stand Up! With Pete Dominick." Within 24 hours, CNN had shot Sanchez.

Rick Sanchez, one day in the CNN anchor, was fired Friday, a day after telling a radio interviewer that Jon Stewart was a fanatic and that "the whole world that CNN is running a lot like Stewart."
The last comment was made shortly after Mr. Stewart's faith, Judaism, was invoked.
CNN said in a statement last week, "Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company. We thank Rick for his years of service and wish him well."
Mr. Sanchez's comments came Thursday during a conversation with the controversial comedian Pete Dominick satellite radio. Friday afternoon, a recording of the conversation had circulated widely on the Internet.
In conversation, Mr. Sanchez, who is Cuban-American, repeatedly suggested that he had experienced subtle forms of discrimination in her television career.
He said that "much of the liberal elite establishment Northeast" saw him as someone "who is on the second level and not level."
Among the figures of the establishment, he said, was Mr. Stewart, host of "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central and a friend of Mr. Dominick's.
At first, Mr. Sanchez called Mr. Stewart a "fan", but later took the floor again, calling the actor "harmful" in its place.

Mr. Sanchez said, "against anyone who disagrees with your point of view, which is largely a white point of view, liberal establishment."
