Texas A & M Gunman:University Closed

Today, Texas A & M was put into block after he had a report of a gunman while the Bush family on campus. The campus is back to normal, as it was found that the alleged murderer wore a rubber rifle.
U.S. today reported that the unidentified man was part of the Texas A & M Corps of Cadets, like ROTC.
The university issued a statement explaining the situation:

    Approximately 3:30 pm today (Thursday), Texas A & M University Police Department received a report of an individual who seemed to be carrying a rifle was discovered at the helm of the Tower. Code Maroon message distributed promptly alert the campus wide, and police and other university staff conducted an exhaustive search.

    Now, the university authorities believe that the basis for the report was an individual who possessed a gun 'dummy' - a replica. The man walked through the Tower of the rudder on the route to the West Campus, where he parked his car, and then went home.

    Dummy weapons of the type that believes in the research center guns are replicas of hard rubber. No real weapon was found.
The university sent e-mails and text messages to students warning them of the situation. According to MSNBC, the university gave him the nod at 5:35 pm, saying: "Everything is fine. Person identified replica gun. There is no danger. Resume their normal activities."
The Bush family was in school for a ribbon cutting event for the George Bush Presidential Library Center. The ribbon cutting will go on as planned.

Game Notes replace the enemies are united in College Station this weekend as the Texas Tech Red Raiders battle Texas & M Aggies in the Big 12 cases at Kyle Field.

Raiders contest winning note as they edged Colorado, 27-24, last weekend. It was the second victory in three games for TTU, which is now 3-1 in games played away from home.


With regard to Aggies, they returned to the victory column with a 45-10 knock Kansas last weekend. The victory ended three-game slide & M are now returning home, where she was 03/01 so far.

& M leads the series head to head with TTU 35-32-1 following 52-30 triumph last season in Lubbock.

The Red Raiders scored the final 13 points, including the game-winning 36-yard ball to Matt Williams with 2:08 left, as they rallied for a 27-24 victory at Colorado last weekend. QB Taylor Potts threw for 286 yards and a pair of TD, while Alex Torres pulled by six balls for 133 yards and a score. Potts enjoys a very successful campaign so far, and he is an average of 308,7 YPG, 20 TD against only five INTs. Lyle Leon, who also hauled in a TD pass last weekend, Potts was the main goal with 42 catches for 521 yards and 10 points. Baron Batch and Erick Stevens have provided a good change of pace from the passing attack, as they combined for 809 yards and seven scores on the ground.

TTU has questions on defense this year, but the block came late last week to hold Colorado without a point in the decisive fourth quarter. Defense was stout against the run, giving up only 28 yards on 32 carries, but was burned for 364 yards through the air. Pass defense was the real problem areas for the Raiders, as they give up to 298,6 YPG in the air. Protection made with 10 INTs and 18 sacks, so that helped offset some of the passing yards surrendered. Jarvis Phillips leads the club with four INTs and nine PBU, while Brian Duncan tops the list with 8,5 TFLs and six sacks.

Aggies had their way with Kansas over the weekend, as they churned out 227 yards on the ground and another 294 yards through the air. QB Jerrod Johnson was 12-of-20 for 139 yards and he also rushed for 28 yards and a TD. With the effort, Johnson became the all-time leader in total offense school. Backup Ryan Tannehill also own the game as he threw for 155 yards and three TDs in his first significant action of the season. Johnson, however, is the catalyst for that offense, and he averaged 278.1 passing YPG with 14 TD. Turnover however, was any question of Johnson, as he threw nine INTs. Jeff Fuller is the main output in the passing game, leading & M with 44 receptions for 687 yards and nine TD. He also was effective at the weekend, pulling in five balls for 121 meters and a pair of TD. Cyrus Gray led the assault with 117 yards and a TD on 13 carries, and he ranks second to Christine Michael (592 yards) with 312 yards rushing for the season.

& M put forward a solid defensive effort last weekend, limiting Kansas only 331 total yards. Aggies showed significant improvement with regard to pass, yielding only 130 meters, but took a step backwards with regard to implementation, allowing 201 yards. It was a turning success of the Group for the season as M holds opponents to just 94.7 rushing YPG, allowing a whopping 329.7 passing YPG. Damontre Moore was stunning in victory over Kansas, as he posted five tackles, 1.5 sacks and one of two team INTs. He was the best pass rusher the team this season, leading the way with 5.5 sacks and 6,5 TFLs.

Aggies have things rolling nicely over the weekend, and they should be able to turn in a similar offensive performance in a shootout victory over the Raiders.
