The parties have established, and things could get messier as the month continues! For now, start with a classic that everyone knows, is a modern classic that few have heard of only in passing. So, it's life long It'sa Wonderful classic against the romantic comedy Love, Actually! Let the judges ...
Running Jenny Alme - No contest for me. Love Actually is a beautiful film, but it's a Wonderful Life is a classic. I've seen it every Christmas since I was a child and it gets better and better every year. It's just an amazing film.
Well, if that's the way it's looking, it would be really hard to beat a movie that has seen more than 50 times! Was it too hard? Well, 48 times ...
Scott "Kubryk" Sawitz - Everyone has seen a wonderful life as often as every Christmas is at least 20 times a day. We see this as a "classic" not because it is a brilliant film because it has been seen in mass. It's the same principle behind the popularity of Office Space, oddly enough, but I never thought much about Love, Actually. So the first by default.
Well, there is a battle we will have to save for a new edition of Film Club ... although I'm not sure he's a Wonderful Life Win in a battle of citations against the Office of Space as "Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings" can not really compete against "Looks like you've been missing a lot of work lately," I would not say has been missing is Bob. "
Josh Begley - I'm not a big fan of It's a Wonderful Life, as Love, Actually kind of wins by default. I believe this is more of a movie that takes place at Christmas instead of a Christmas movie, but it is very good.
That's it, is two-one It's a Wonderful Life, and I must say I had a lot of persuasion to secure Mr. Mike Noyes to join us in this edition of Film Club after most of his favorites to win the last month were completely blown out of the water ... but alas, here it is, in full holiday spirit, wearing a Santa suit, and holding mistletoe in hand ... I think it is really poison ivy ... yes, it is poison ivy, and I will now be moving away from Mike as he makes his selection ...
