Cam Newton Wins Heisman Trophy

Auburn quarterback Cam Newton was the runaway winner of Heisman Trophy night on Saturday. Newton beat other finalists Andrew fate of Stanford, Oregon and James LaMichael Kellen Moore to become the top winner of 76 individual honor in college football.
Luck finished second followed by James and Moore.
Newton led the Tigers to a 13-0 record with a conference championship of the SEC and a spot in the BCS final.
The junior led the SEC in rushing with 1.409 yards and scored 21 touchdowns and was highest-rated passer in the country with 2,589 yards and 28 TD throws.
He is the winner of third place in the school after Bo Jackson and Pat Sullivan.
The victory is not without controversy. The NCAA ruled that Newton's father, Cecil Newton tried to design a game for the payment scheme that sent his son to the State of Mississippi. The NCAA also said there was no evidence or Auburn Newton knew about the dealings of his father, so the junior star was not punished.
Cecil Newton did not attend the ceremony for the Heisman Trophy, saying it would not overshadow the achievement of your child.
