Food and supplies have also begun to reach the Carnival Splendor, which was stranded on his way to Mexico from Long Beach, California, after a fire in an engine room Monday, leaving the ship without power.
The cruise has been operating on backup generators, but engineers have not been able to restore additional power, leaving 3,299 people and 1,167 crew on board, telephones, toilets, air conditioning and hot food.
U.S. Navy sent the USS Ronald Reagan, at the request of the Coast Guard to carry 50 tons of food were provided by Carnival.
The ship is aground on the coast of Mexico, about 150 miles south of San Diego. Once connected, the cruise will be towed to Ensenada, Mexico.
