Buildings William Oxley Thompson Memorial Library, McPherson Chemical Laboratory, Laboratory of Smith and Scott Laboratory. Classes in three school buildings involved have been canceled, and all four buildings were closed until at least 5 hours or until the completion of the investigation, according to Vernon Baisden, director of the University of Public Security.
Officials did not say whether any explosives were found in buildings.
The university was notified of the threat at 8:19 am and activated his Buckeye Alert System at 8:41 am, according to the website of Ohio.
Nearby streets were closed to vehicular traffic, University Police Chief Paul Denton told reporters.
Local, state and federal authorities to assist in the investigation, Baisden said, but he said officials would release few details about the specifics. Aerial footage showed the power of dogs entering a building.
Students and employees "responded in an orderly manner," Baisden said: "and we have no reports of any actual confusion, moreover, that everyone was wondering what was happening."
On the question of a threat targeting laboratories, Baisden said that the laboratories are in many places on the campus of Ohio.
