(NY)NewYork Marathon Race 2010 Map


This Sunday, November 7, 2010, Meb Keflezighi will try to become the first American male to win back to back marathons in New York since Alberto Salazar accomplished the feat, said marathon in 1982.
The 2010 ING New York Marathon will be considered the greatest marathon in the world, with about 44 000 runners in 2009 will begin this Sunday morning, 8:30 pm ET with the wheelchair division and professional women men of time from 9:10 am ET and 9:40 a.m. ET, respectively.
Travel route of the marathon race will start at the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge, the first of five bridges cross winds runners through Brooklyn, briefly passing through Queens, Manhattan crosses (and the thunderous First Avenue), drop a toe in the Bronx before returning to Manhattan and become Central Park, where it ends, 26.2 miles ahead.
Based on the last record, Keflezighi won last year with time of 2:09:15, while Derartu Tulu of Ethiopia won the women's division with a 2:28:52 finish time
The winner of each division will receive $ 130,000 (which is beaten to $ 200.000 if it is a repeat winner), while ECOND place earns $ 65,000 and $ 40,000 third respectively.
