Justin Bieber added three more awards to his collection in the live broadcast of the 38th Annual American Music Awards. The small Canadian Idol took home T-Mobile Breakthrough Artist, beating out the list of competitors such as Mike Posner, Lady Antebellum and Travis McCoy.
The "Baby" hitmaker, who was introduced by the young star of Willow Smith for his "Pray" performance also netted Pop / Rock Favorite Album, thanks to "My World 2.0" him. The extended work of his debut album "My World" topped Eminem "recovery" and Katy Perry "Teenage Dream."
Later, Bieber was given Favorite Pop / Rock Male Artist. He again beat the Slim Shady, besides his mentor Usher. "No Michael Jackson, none of us would be here," he said when picking up the award on stage. The late King of Pop was the inspiration behind his new song "Pray".
Despite losing two categories of Bieber, the Slim Shady who did not attend the November 21 awards event managed to grab a prize. The rapper was named Favorite Rap / Hip-Hop Male Artist in a fierce battle with Bob and Drake.
Other winners were Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. Paisley blocked Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan to win Favorite Male Country Artist, thanking the AMA to put on a great show during his acceptance speech. Underwood, meanwhile, gave Favorite Country Album for his effort, "Play On".
