Today Mexican Independence Day


Today, 16 September, Mexico has completed 200 years of independence from Spanish rule. So the whole country in Latin America Maxico Independence Day celebrated in 2010 with the grand parade around the Paseo de la Reforma and get to the Zocalo Square in Mexico City. For Independence Day Mexico 2010 Celebration, the whole city is decorated with lights of red, white and green flags of Mexico since the beginning of September. Mexicans celebrate the bicentenary of the "El Grito de Independencia" with pride, enthusiasm and vigor.
During the Independence of Mexico, the country celebrates the heroes of the Revolutionary War past. The parties happen in big cities and smaller towns and a lot of celebrations also take place such as dancing, lectures, and even poetry, in commemoration of the brave men and women who lost their wives during the Revolutionary War .
Before bicentennial, Mexico declared a state of independence from Spain on September 16, 1810 with Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla is the first thing to do in the small town of Dolores, Guanajuato. The blood-spattered fight was recognized by the self-proclaimed independence then took eleven years until the 'Declaration of Independence of the Mexican Empire "was characterized formally in 1821.
2010 Mexico's Independence celebrations begin with the events in the Historic Center of Mexico. Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina are also celebrating its bicentennial this year. Before Independence Day at 11 pm, the President reaches the central balcony of the Palacio Nacional (National Palace) and rings the bell (the bell sounded the same Hidalgo in 1810, brought to Mexico City in 1886) and shouted at the group of people in the square that react with enthusiasm, "Viva!" Then, after everyone has to sing the Mexican national anthem.
The celebration of El Grito de Independencia start time around 4:30 pm local time and perform for eight hours. During the celebrations, traffic locked in the areas close to the streets to the management of strict security measures by the Mexican Army personnel to secure Mexican Independence Day party. The party of the national holiday begins with the lighting of the fire and after the show takes place. More than 7000 volunteers are expected to participate.
