Any changes to after school activities will take place on Wednesday.
School officials have asked parents to make sure their children are dressed for travel in rainy weather, especially when school gets out in the afternoon.
After consulting the National Weather Service and the center of the county emergency operations, school officials concluded that this was probably a rain event, "said Nat Harrington, a district spokesman.
School buses can operate safely in winds of up to 40 miles per hour, he said. The National Weather Service expect sustained winds of 25 mph to 35 mph, with gusts to 47 mph.
"The most important is whether we can operate safely," he said.
School officials continue to monitor the storm tonight. If there are any changes in school schedules or bus, the school district website is updated and alerted the media outlets will.

School districts in the counties of St. Lucie and Martin also have plans to stay open.
