The famous actress and social activist said that the aim is for her to talk to women in the nation - and have to speak again.
She says she wants women to feel "there are a lot of dreams still to go."
She describes the site as a video-heavy, including live chat and user-submitted video, and says he wants to share ideas.
Next week, Thomas will release a memoir, "Growing up in laughter."
