Mr. Ansari said the festival, which celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna, reminded people of his life and teachings.
"On this occasion, we rededicate ourselves to the teachings of Lord Krishna and work to create a peaceful, harmonious and enlightened society," he said.
Singh said the festival celebrates the life and teachings of Lord Krishna's eternal - the discipline, knowledge and selfless action.
"May the festival inspire us to achieve the goal to banish ignorance and poverty through education and proclaim peace and prosperity for all", he added.
