The veteran correspondent Harold Dow 48 Hours died Saturday morning at the age of 62. One of the first AP report said it was unclear whether the winner of an Emmy five times had been home at the time of his sudden death.
But last night, the Dow family released a statement linking his death to an asthma attack behind the wheel. The report by CBS News reveals that, according to the Hackensack Police Department, an inhaler was found in the floorboard of Dow. Also within the family statement was the word that Dow had been suffering from severe asthma symptoms before the fatal moment, which led him to check into a hospital in New Jersey on Monday for emergency treatment.
