Eddie fisher died

Pop idol Eddie Fisher died due to complications from recent hip surgery Wednesday, his family announced Thursday. He was 82. Fisher, father of actress Carrie Fisher, was one of the most successful pop singers of the 1950's. In addition to the charts hits like "Thinking of You", "Walking Behind You" and "Oh My Pa-Pa" Fisher also had the TV variety show Coca-Cola Time with Eddie Fisher and the show Eddie Fisher. He fell into the spotlight with the arrival of rock and roll, but continued recording until late 1960's.
Fisher was married five times. He had two children, Carrie and Todd, with his first wife, actress and singer Debbie Reynolds, who left his famous second wife, Elizabeth Taylor. Carrie Fisher has compared the divorce of their parents, messy and remarried father of Taylor to today's Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie saga. Fisher was also married to actress Connie Stevens, with whom he had two more children, actresses Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher. His fourth marriage, 47, was a beauty queen 21 years of age, Richard Terry. It ended after 10 months. Fifth (the longest and) the marriage was to Betty Lin, a business woman of Chinese origin. She died in 2001.
