Komamura performs his bankai, Kokujo Tengen Myo-oh, to submit to Cough. However, it has drawn Tosen weakness of Komamura Bankai years of working in close collaboration. Despite the damage received, Komamura refuses to give up his old friend, throwing the question of why Tosen chose to become a Soul Reaper, in the first place.
The meeting, with cough in the last episode with Komamura goes against it after thinking a bit about his past was quite good, although many of them was more style than substance. But that is a big part of what Bleach is all about what works pretty well. Coughing white solid looks if it, although when you remove the ability to see into other characters' eyes, you lose a lot of emotion behind what is happening. With Cough, that's a little part of the point where it is very intense, even without that is based only on their actions. And Komamura really made for that as you take things to the next level with its own capacity to bring him down.
Part of the visual design, although funnily treated in another way as flashbacks show us Tosen I was starting as a Soul Reaper and yet he spent all his time with his eyes closed because of their condition. Cough is not a character I had too much experience with it, but seeing her past, how they became a Soul Reaper and the reasons why it has changed as it has done is interesting, but not come across a totally convincing. But these situations do not always make sense when viewed from the outside. As the saying goes, a villain is rarely seen himself as well and feels justified in doing what needs to be done, something that others will not, even at the expense of other important things.
The amazing thing is that he Tosen comes across as so completely different from before. He is not the character I saw a couple hundred episodes ago Komamura, which certainly is not the same either. If your progression on this side is natural or not, it comes across as somewhat forced and out of nowhere for me when I have his close friend and partner of Komamura be surprised by all this. Tosen flashbacks do explain things, but it just is not convincing in making what seems a gentle soul but steady transformation like this. It's easy to understand here is Komamura surprise for her, because as bad as they were to cough, turn this way has gone too far, showing no real signs beforehand.
