In the same year another Calotype process of photography was introduced by William Fox Talbot. This year was marked by so much as a year dedicated to the photography and on 19 August was appointed as the photograph of the Day. This day is celebrated in many parts of the world during the past 20 years.
It was a beautiful invention and people were delighted to look back in their memories. As time went on, the camera became part of the lifestyle and just took it as an art. Now, we have photographers who not only captures a moment, but also capture the emotion of the moment.
The World Photography Day celebrated around the globe. Australia, UK, USA, Philippines, Japan, India, Canada, Croatia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Italy, Romania, Singapore, Serbia, Spain, France, Mexico, South Africa and Nepal celebrate it as a party.
Closer to home, Hyderabad is celebrating World Photography Day 2010 through the introduction of a photo contest. The competition is an initiative of the Department of Information and Public Relations. The best photographs will be awarded and displayed on the site.
