Today Garmin Recall


Garmin announced today that it has issued a recall that includes 1.25 million Nuvi GPS Personal Navigation Device. According to the manufacturer, which have a battery problem that causes fire damage and potential overheating. 796 000 of these units were sold in the U.S.

The affected units in the removal of Garmin are easily identified with a serial number, and make it even easier, Garmin has a section of its website where to enter the number of your serial GPS will know if it includes in memory.

Australia *, call 1800 113 738, and in New Zealand call 0800 427 652

Upon returning to his Garmin GPS navigation device, the company will replace the battery problems and will insert a separator at the top of the battery to the side of the PCB. This will, of course, free.

The GPS recall was issued after fewer than 10 cases of overheating, luckily without "material damage" or injured.
