Rogue Facebook Application Is The Latest Justin Bieber Technology Scam

16-year-old pop-culture sensation, who rose to fame in the wake of YouTube, Twitter and other forms of social media also does not want a poster child of many malicious attacks that are circulating around the Internet.

Later rogue Facebook application called Bieberflirting (which was subsequently removed from the site), generated status updates with a link claiming to show a young Bieber flirting skills. Instead Moptop little work on his game with the girls, however, sent the link to unsuspecting fans page requesting permission to access their profiles.

Users who have installed Bieberflirting lost at least partial control of their accounts, as Facebook nasty application has spread all over their friends and acquaintances.

"You just gave him access to capture your personal data and send messages on the wall," explained Graham Cluley, technology consultant for Sophos data security firm in his blog, explaining how to remove the application.

Other chart-topping Bieber technology fraud

This is not the first time that fraudsters have used Bieber mania, to entice users.

-In April last year fictitious campaign Twitter argued that Bieber will distribute 5000 signed iPads.

"Justin Bieber gives Signed iPad for the first 5000 Lucky Fans that go winaipad.net and join in their 10-digit phone number!" I read a tweet that spread like wildfire.

According to the Cyber Defender, the fans site redirected to another page that asked for their figures. Those unfortunate enough to convey that information was on the hook for $ 9.99 monthly subscription service called Submit Hot Unlimited Club.

A similar fraud claim to offer Justin Bieber concert tickets in exchange for a mobile number, even acknowledged the $ 9.99 fee, but did not claim payment may occur, as this test! "

-Last month, users who are looking for Justin Bieber videos on YouTube, instead of being redirected to the video links for adults. The malicious code is hidden in the comments section below the video then be used to send fake error messages claiming that Bieber was killed in a car accident.

-Another scam Facebook argues that access to the mobile phone number in Bieber, who allegedly provided despised ex-girlfriend. How Bieberflirting of fans, by clicking on the link to access the number of Bieber were redirected to another page. Here trusting users were invited to a few personal questions, are invited to open their wallets to another phony monthly fee, and, of course, share the pleasure of the rest of their friends Facebook.

-Not only Bieber young enough to have been depicted in the novel by Mark Twain, and the Internet rumors about his death were greatly exaggerated. Although false allegations of death extends to many celebrities, Bieber wins the prize for probably not the only hero music rumored tour of North Korea.

It is true, of course, is often stranger than fiction. For every scam Facebook hoping to dial a mobile phone or personal information, there are cases like this guy is trying to teach his cat to strike against Bieber. Fans can safely connect to one of the many dozens of iPhone applications on the Canadian pop sensation.
