PDP Leader Madani Arrested


People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abdul Nasser Madani, were arrested in connection with Bangalore serial blasts, was "falsely implicated" in the case without any material, his lawyer said Karnataka High Court today.

When the petition Madani to cancel the indictment against him should he be approached, senior counsel Ravi B Naik claimed that he was involved in the case on the basis of statements of co-accused Nazir T, let the suspect.


"And secondly, there is no proper authorization to prosecute in accordance with Article 45 of the illegal activity", Naik argued.

Special Prosecutor HS Chandramouli find some more time to file his objections that he had not received all the materials, as the investigative and other police officials of Karnataka have been posted in Kerala during the last 8 days before the arrest of Madani.

Single bench, Judge Subhash B Adi then adjourned the hearing of the application until tomorrow afternoon.

"The arrest of Madani in Kollam, Kerala today, had no influence on the criminal complaint filed by him for the abolition of the charge sheet and further proceedings against him in 2008 if Bangalore blasts," the lawyer said Ousmane Madani P PTI.

"However, other procedures, which this after his arrest had been completed. He definitely will have to appear before a court magistrate or even in) the residence of his (the judge in Bangalore 24 hours," he said.
