Patricia Neal Died Due To Cancer

Patricia Neal, Oscar winning ex-wife's children's author Roald Dahl, died of lung cancer at the age of 84 years. Neal received a Best Actress Oscar in 1963, Hood opposite Paul Newman, but her career was marked by poor health. She gave up acting two years later, in the age of 39 after suffering a series of blows.

She returned to the screen after a few years after rehabilitation to learn to speak and walk, and another was nominated for an Oscar in 1968, not roses.

Neal began his career in the 40-s later, with early roles, including the classic 1951 sci-fi The Day the Earth Stood Still.

It originated the role of Olivia Walton in Walton, and won a Golden Globe for her role in 1971. She was also the winner in the very first Tony Awards ceremony in 1947.

Neil was married to a popular children's author Roald Dahl for 30 years, and my grandmother model and presenter Sophie Dahl.

In a statement before she died says the actress about her career and life: "I had a great time."
