Hurricane Danielle Path


Hurricane Danielle is in the middle of the Atlantic to the west-northwest near 18 mph, but is expected to slow down and take a turn toward the northwest over the next two days.

After a certain weakening of yesterday, Danielle is now back to Category 1 hurricane with little change in force pending Wednesday Thursday and some possible strengthening.


There is another area of low pressure 96L are tracking is now called, which lies across the Atlantic.

There is a large area of cloudiness and showers associated with it.

The environmental conditions remain favorable for the formation of a tropical depression in the next couple of days.

There is a high 90 percent chance of development in the next 48 hours while continuing to move west-northwest near 15 mph.

When this system is formed, will the name of Earl.

At this time, the models are taking it a trajectory similar to that of Danielle.

Earl's path may be slightly west of Danielle, but the models are what have kept well away from any threat in southwest Florida.

In the long-range forecast, it appears that the Atlantic basin will continue to produce thunderstorms until early September.
