Gather real-time information from a variety of applications in a short message, such as Twitter, and returned in search results, giving "important for the freshest information on the web." The service was first unveiled last December, but now has its own dedicated page.
"Today we are making our most significant improvements to date, providing real time information of your own home and more powerful tools to help you find what you need," blogs product manager Dylan Casey.
The page is being rolled out gradually, according to Casey, and can be accessed via its URL or by clicking on the tab "updates" in the left pane of the search results.
The page can be customized in real time, allowing users to set their location to further refine the relevance of the results, and offers a conversation "view", which groups and retweets tweets on the same subject.
Google Alerts also can be configured using real-time, and Casey, said that if you select this option to send an email "when the topic is on Twitter and other services Short Form."
