In addition to Brett Favre for most of the leagues, and it seems quite clear that the actions of Percy Harvin as a player can have only dropped after the tragic events of today. The question for many owners of fantasy football at this time however, is that players are considered the best in each position at this time. Considering most fantasy football leagues have broadcasting quarterbacks, receivers, tight ends, runners, kickers, and defense one, here are some noteworthy fantasy football rankings for those positions.
The three best players on just about every fantasy football rankings will be Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers and Peyton Manning. The order of the three quarterbacks could change slightly depending on which classification system you are looking at, but those are the three biggest names out there. Following those three in the category of quarterbacks are Tom Brady, Matt Schaub, Tony Romo, again with the marshals to ride some, but are definitely on the second level. Then there is the third tier of quarterbacks that included Philip Rivers, Brett Favre, Joe Flacco. Favre could progress if you think you can duplicate last season.
If you play fantasy football, it is better to know who the top running backs already, with Chris Johnson and Adrian Peterson in front of the class. They are followed by Maurice Jones-Drew, Ray Rice, Steven Jackson, Michael Turner and Frank Gore in the second tier.
Wide receivers are well grouped and now, with Andre Johnson one step ahead of everyone else. We believe that the tear is not next to Larry Fitzgerald and DeSean Jackson more because they are losing their quarterbacks. Both have the talent, but could lose some data. In its place we put Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, and Roddy White. These types are closely followed by Miles Austin, Calvin Johnson and Brandon Marshall.
At tight end, two guys ahead of the curve, and are Antonio Gates and Dallas Clark. Either one is great as a top tight end, and Jason Witten is probably closely with Vernon
Davis and Tony Gonzalez at that level. Beyond that, it's a coin this year, so choose your poison, but keep a close eye on Brent Celek Philadelphia.
The best kickers out there come from the teams with the most points. Garrett Hatley of New Orleans and Minnesota's Ryan Longwell seem the safest bets. Nate Kaeding San Diego and Green Bay's Mason Crosby could also be interesting, but Olindo Mare not to sleep in Seattle, if you are picking a kicker after everyone else.
When it comes to the defense, stay with what has worked and that includes statistics for last season. The best defense is the New York Jets Minnesota Vikings nearby. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens are the next level. After that it gets risky, but the New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals could be very interesting selections.
