"We have been doing business with Saks for 30 years, and the creation of a shop front and center is an important achievement," Tahari said. The boutique is located on the fourth floor. "Here you can observe the good and the love of the goods. It is not just a sea of clothes racks. This has room to breathe. There's even room for a man to sit down."
Mr. Tahari said Saks is where the line makes some of its best businesses. The president of the shop and marketing director, Ron Frasch, agreed. "He's our biggest brand. Having this store front says what we mean in terms of re-branding and remerchandising the whole plant."
But it's not all about numbers, Mr. Frasch said. "I know it sounds funny, but we are emotional people in retail. It becomes emotional, because as a business partner and friend, to be able to make that happen is exciting. We are very happy."
