Oakland Tribune Want Justice For Grant

When the Oakland Tribune asked: "what constitutes a just response to the murder of Oscar Grant, as expected, the range of allowable number of replies, and some limited legal options. Substituting directly in terms of performance penalty, other, perhaps more convincing way to justice may be ignored. The powerful voice of the community can be directly sent from active participation in the passive recipients. Proactive citizens can be washed their hands of the public rangelands in the streets to corralled and broken masses, united only by the verdict, they look forward to.
More importantly, remove from the table, the moral debate is the ability to resist violence by the police, as a system and the monopolization of power. How to split the masses of individual beliefs tend to differ significantly, which is fragmented and, consequently, more manageable threat to those whose interest lies in the suppression of resistance to authority and oppression.
But let's be clear: there is no contradiction in holding the belief that a particular result the sentence is correct, as well as holding the belief that justice Oscar Grant do not need, and can not be determined by the state. By allowing the parameters of justice, Oakland Tribune suggests, but the state wants to be limited by legal decree "murder or nothing" becomes significant, if not stifling, the slogan: if the sentence is death, justice triumphed
