"My uncle, former NBA player Lorenzen Wright said yesterday that police told the family the sportsman, who had been missing for 10 days was found dead.
Curtis-Wright told Associated Press, that the police called the father of a player, Herb Wright, last night with the news that he died.
A spokesman for Memphis police wrote by e-mail AP that police are investigating the death of an unknown, but says they could not confirm the identity of the victim last night. Memphis commercial appeal led the police as a source of determining the body was found in a field in southeast Memphis, as Wright.
Wright, 34, was last seen on July 18 when he was supposed to fly from the city. His family filed a missing person report on July 22.
Wright played 13 years in the NBA with five teams: the Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta, Memphis, Sacramento and most recently in Cleveland, 17 games the 2008-09 season. Wright left the University of Memphis early in the NBA and the Clippers have made him a lottery pick with the number 7 Selecting a whole.
He averaged 8.0 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in 778 games.
Well lets hope that the body police found no Lorenzen. Stay tuned for more news on this developing story.
