False Flag Cyber Attacks

Limitation and control of Internet access was extended on behalf of the Pentagon and other government agencies in the light of recent threats. The media are increasingly covering the threat "electronic Pearl Harbor" that could be conducted online. If the U.S. were attacked online, it can affect the banking, energy systems, railways and water sources, leaving the country in a state that would make it difficult to defend. Nevertheless, many of these requirements were more exaggerated.

By Evgency Morozov, researcher and blogger, who writes on the threats and political developments on the Internet, sometimes the threat associated with government agencies and cyber-security companies, which create a false hype around this issue. It is these institutions and companies that are likely to apply in case of attack, and they are trying to attract business for themselves.

One part of the proposed bill would give the U.S. president to declare a "cyber-safety in an emergency situation" and to close or restrict internet traffic to critical information in the interest of safety. Although the bill is not passed close, it will be interesting to know how many pairs of the bill raises in the coming weeks and months.
Giving the president the authorities shut down the Internet in case of threat is something that is unprecedented in America. As of now, it's not even sure that the attack on the American networks will be a viable option for most countries. No guarantee that we have in place have been tested even the most sophisticated hackers.
