Born in 1955, in Astoria, New York, Dee was a member of the choir, as well as a member of the All-State Chorus as a member of Baldwin HS Concert Choir.

Snyder was married to his wife, Suzette, since 1981 after they met when she worked as a costume designer Twisted Sister's.
