Sabrina Parker and Matt Scozzari Prove Love Is Forever

For most teens love means trips to the cinema, the stolen kisses behind the bleachers and the anguish of the break in the first place.
Sabrina Parker and Matt Scozzari means much more.
The two began dating after Matt, in his words, got up the courage to ask her out. Over the next three months things seemed perfect for them, but Matt realizes that Sabrina looked ill. She tired easily, sometimes had trouble speaking, he was losing weight.
When asked if it was OK that she told him she was fine, the doctor was treating.
What she did not say was that just a month after we started dating that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig's disease and the prognosis was not good.
Finally, after his surprise sweet 16 Part two of his friends, both in tears, broke the news to Matt.
I was devastated, obviously, but when asked if Sabrina was going to leave because of the diagnosis that he said "I'll never leave, no matter what."
For both trials they face in life was not new.
Sabrina's grandmother and mother died of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Matt had been diagnosed with mild learning difficulties, had endured teasing from classmates because of poor speech and he saw his grandmother die of cancer. But both overcame these problems.
As their romance progresses terminal nature of ALS was always in the back of their minds. Over time, Sabrina was weakening, but Matt was always there as support, help and when the speech was difficult to interpeter.
When the Make a Wish Foundation arranged a trip to Orlando to Matt's family joined them. When Sabrina was unable to mount an attraction Matt stood by his side. Despite his illness attended prom together and were elected king and queen.
The only burden that weighs on them was the fact that they spend their lives together. Matt always start talking about "when we get married 'until her mother explained why that would be impossible.
But there was an alternative, a ceremony of friendship that allows them to live a wedding as the event and would allow Matt to tell Sabrina was good to let go. As his mother said patients often struggle until they feel as loved ones allowed to let go.
